Calibration of LUX and UV Devices

The Logger stores raw values which are transformed into real values via calibration data stored in the Logger memory. This information is transferred to the PC when the Logger is downloaded

Calibrating the Logger consists of obtaining these numbers and then downloading them to the Logger, no physical adjustment is required

The Procedure is as Follows:

1.From the Setup dialog select Calibrate Logger.
2.Enter an offset of 0 and a gain of 1. Program the Logger with these values and set the device to log in the dark.
3.Download the data and note the logged values. The highest value will become the new offset value.
4.Enter these values into the calibration dialog and send them to the Logger using Program Logger
5.Set the device to log under known conditions. From these values, calculate the new gains. This is straightforward - for example if the device reads half of  what it should then the new gain will become 2.0.
6.Enter the new gain values and send them to the Logger using Program Logger.
7.Start the Logger off as normal.
